My research has also addressed modifiable perioperative factors that influence outcomes in THA. Recognizing the significant impact of preoperative anemia on postoperative recovery, I have led and contributed to a series of interrelated research initiatives aimed at advancing blood management strategies in orthopedic surgery. This research has led to evidence-based protocols that reduce complications and improve outcomes such as early identification and treatment of anemia well before surgery, which has been recently implemented into clinical practice.

My research program continues to assess treatment pathways to address anemia and improve outcomes for patients.
