Young Adult Hip (YAH) Preservation: Defining Norms and Surgical Targets

Prospective Cohort Study

Prospective Cohort Study Status: Ongoing

In the field of young adult hip preservation, I have led research to define normal morphology and movement patterns to guide diagnosis and surgical correction. Through this work, I have contributed to the establishment of healthy ranges of hip anatomy and movement, allowing surgeons to more accurately distinguish between normal variation and conditions that require treatment. These findings now guide surgical planning for hip preservation procedures, helping improve precision, outcomes, and long-term joint health in younger patients.
