Hip Arthroplasty

Hip arthroplasty is a surgical procedure that replaces damaged or diseased hip joint components with artificial implants. It can be total (replacing both the femoral head and acetabulum) or partial, and is most commonly performed to relieve pain and restore function in patients with severe arthritis, fractures, or other degenerative hip conditions.
